As a pioneer of liquid nitrogen ice cream in Hong Kong, Lab Made, the ice cream parlor, rounds up the year with the best four flavors: Fancy Ferrero, Crunchy Sea Salt Gelato with Caramel Sauce, Chinese Beancurd Dessert and Coconut Pandan.
Among them, I find Chinese beancurd the most surprising one. The ice cream base is light as is made with soybean milk. While it consists of bits and pieces of bean curd, you’ll occasionally bite into several Chinese barleys; and overall speaking, it has resembled the Chinese sweet soup very well indeed.
