Hamburger and Bao, which would you prefer? Bao is a Chinese hamburger originally stuffed with braised pork belly, shiso salad and sesame paste. It’s one of those not-to-be-missed street food in Taiwan. Today, Little Bao has incorporated international cooking into this simple Asian dish, bringing them to a next new level.
I’m especially thankful to be invited to Little Bao & Levi’s event on this brunch loving Sunday. We are welcomed by ice cold apple beetroot juice, with a little lemon added. The mini egg shell, which is also my favorite from the new brunch menu, resembled ordinary eggs Benedict with coddled yolk, creamy hollandaise foam, crumbled crouton and bacon bits. The batter fried chicken has a similar style of Korean fried chicken but with a kick of red fermented beancurd. The extra big and fluffy breakfast bao is also appealingly prepared with sunny side up, instantly made house patty on tomato sauce.
To end indulgently, don’t forget to grab a maple bacon ice cream sandwich – the breakfast champion!
