I could still remember reading a business article about Ben & Jerry’s. Throughout the long history, these two guys had teamed up to start the first ice cream business until they finally achieved victories in becoming one of the most successful brands in the world. Just so happened that lately their pints have been hardly found in Hong Kong, which would most probably been stopped selling. It was a complete lost to our ice cream market.
At downtown Berkeley, I was lucky to bomb into a B&J’s scoop shop to savor their awesome ice creams.
Given that their ice creams are all made with non-GMO ingredients, the consistency is very satisfying. Creamy, milky and does not melt fast at all. This special flavor with raspberries swirl and dark & white chocolate chips are acceptably sweet and enjoyable, despite the soft and chewy waffle cone that tastes very bland too. It was not remarkable, but I will be coming back to try other flavors.
Indeed! I returned the next day for a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s frozen yogurt. The banana and peanut butter combo is the real epic goodness here! It is notched up with salted peanut butter swirl and the kid scoop is found to be the perfect serving size after dinner.
