Sister to one of the best San Francisco restaurants Lolo, this colourful Mission restaurant focuses on five typical ceviches in addition to their well-known tacos, tapas and cocktails. Its small and crafty decorative interior, minimal tables and cocktail bar make a great environment to enjoy this Mexican and Peruvian flavors.
Being one of a popular orders here, taco tropical is basically a shrimp taco that has been breaded with panko bread crumbs pairing with refreshing relish, hot chipotle aioli over an extraordinary fresh and crunchy jicama tortilla.
While savoring the most favourite dish, their mainstream ceviche is made with irregularly chopped raw white fish, citrus dressing, cilantro that comes with sweet potato and roasted peanuts. It also has some interesting banana-like plantain chips, which acts like an edible crispy spoon.
I loved this family-owned restaurant and it is undoubtedly a top restaurant in Mission District.
