In this post, I am introducing something completely different from typical Macau souvenirs. Eclairs. The elongated choux pastry.
Owned by two pastry chefs, Oh la la is the new Parisian gourmet bakery that offers French pastries, including their signature eclairs, macarons and some other savory bakeries.
At the cake counter, it is truly a pleasure of the eye. The endless selection of eclairs feature mainly fruits, berries and chocolate flavors, whereas the macaron is of beautiful colours. The excitement is getting started with a few sample of their homemade cookies, whilst we are offered a 10% discount for every 5 piece eclair box.
The eclairs are secured neatly to allow a long traveling from Macau back to Hong Kong.
Choux pastry is baked to right lightness and chewiness with a little crunch on the edge, with each filled with consecutive mango and coconut custard, lemon curd and chocolate hazelnut cream respectively.
For the next visit to Macau, forget about the almond cookies or peanut candies. Come to Oh la la and grab some of these delicacies!
