Yat Tung Heen 逸東軒 – Lovely Mango Mochi

Parent to their branch located at Eaton Hotel, Yat Tung Heen is also easily accessible at Wan Chai close to the Convention Centre. It has a great ambience for business lunch or family gathering, and certainly serve good quality dim sum.

As a dedication to their signature barbecued pork, we ordered baked bbq pork buns to start. The pastry is excellently made with golden brown sweet crust and honey glazed char siu filling.

The ox tripe is also tasty according to my parents, whilst the tossed noodles are comparatively less attractive to my liking.

Needless to say, the pig knuckles is absolutely divine. Cooked in the “Eight Treasure” vinegar that is prepared to the perfect sweetness, with substantial ratio of pork knuckles to ginger.

The most astonishing finish of the meal is a platter of mango mochi. The mango pieces are surprisingly sweet, which are wrapped with moist and chewy glutinous skin.

Consider all these ordinary dim sum, I am probably not returning. But nonetheless, this place is still great in treating appetizing Cantonese cuisine.
