Food coma? Hang in there! Even though we are already so stuffed, this fish and chips place is definitely a not-to-be-missed!
It has been a hard time to discover the best fish and chips in Hong Kong, until this latest one pops up right of the promenade of Kennedy Town. Set with an unobstructed sea view and refreshing environment, Fish & Chick brings the freshest fish choices in addition to seafoods and house roasted chicken. From England cod, New Zealand monkfish to Hong Kong sea bass, you name it and they cook it.
Our fish is classified as Haddock with a flag label. The huge fillet is beer battered to amazing crispness and served impressively with coarse sea salt and thick cut fries. Mushy peas are not for my liking but the tartare sauce is always the classic condiment.
While the roasted chicken looks super beautiful with a slight charcoal brown color and perfect accompaniment of buttery sweet corns, the crab croquette wins my heart with its lumpy, chunky and meaty filling of crab meat, potatoes and a nice crunchy coating.
Overall a classic and friendly offering in a lovely spot. Must check!
