Being part of the City’super family, Sweets House Cha Cha is a takeaway dessert spot serving a selection of Japanese based desserts. They can be easily located at Times Square Causeway Bay, Harbour City Tsim Sha Tsui and a few more. From basic soft cream, smoothie to freshly grilled oobanyaki, they are made equally with the finest Japanese sourced ingredients. Their Uji Matcha has been highly recognized so as their Hokkaido milk soft serve given they are made in the base of Hokkaido milk with 3.6% butterfat content. It gives a distinct rich and creamy texture to their soft serves.
The choice of Hokkaido milk, Uji matcha or a twist soft serve can come with additional toppings such as azuki red bean, shiratama and matcha jelly. For the autumn season, there is special mont blanc version that combines chestnut puree, candied chestnut and a wafer. The serving is pretty filling and could be shared between two.
Cha Cha’s smoothie is probably my favourite of all. Their Uji Matcha smoothie is a lighter choice on the menu, which has a strong matcha aroma and bitterness. It is perfectly sweetened with a little syrup, deliciously topped with soybean powdered warabimochi, and sometimes with few swirls of ice cream.
If you prefer something hot, Cha Cha’s oobanyaki is the perfect choice. They are mostly made upon order and therefore served warm. With soft pancake-like texture and creamy custard, Cha Cha knows their oobanyaki very well!
