Opened next to Alice Wild Luscious at PMQ, Okinawa Churaumi is the first launched Japanese shaved ice pop-up cafe in Hong Kong. Set with simple yet sophisticated Japanese elements, accommodated with homey and friendly services, they launch five flavors of shave ice, which include strawberry, mango, coffee and matcha red bean. While they are all equally made using ice blocks sourced from Okinawa, the one most popular item here is undeniably the white bear, a mix of fruits.
This adorable teddy bear has a fluffy milk based shave ice, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve with additional sauce of your choice on the side.
It is more than delightful to see such a cute hefty serving with various fresh fruits, very refreshing, light and not overly sweetened.
Not to mention the freshly brewed genmaicha tea that is given at the end.
Soon after the summer season, they will no longer operate here but moving to North Point in November. So make sure to get update on their FaceBook page!
