Ice Cream Of The Year – Horlicks & Taro

Throughout Year 2015, there have been a few ice cream that I think are remarkable.

First one is from Lab Made, a liquid nitrogen ice cream parlor with a constantly changing menu. They have come up with Horlicks ice cream in the second half of the year, which is essentially a creamy milk base, sprinkled with wheat gems.

Since it is also around Christmas season, their ice cream is served in an unusual yet adorable little penguin cup.

Second is Elephant Ground Coffee & Kitchen in Causeway Bay, where has officially opened in recent month.

Renowned for their popular ice cream sandwiches, we have a bailey with chocolate nibbles that also becomes my birthday ice cream cake in last November.

At their all day ice cream counter, my absolute favourite ice cream flavor is the Japanese taro. The consistency is perfectly smooth, rich and has a pronounce natural yam flavor.
Not to mention the crispy taro chip served atop, it is simply amazing!
