Bao Bei – Born in Hong Kong

Sit back and enjoy a tastefully crafted menu created by a made-in-Hong-Kong lounge and eatery – the Bao Bei.

Believing a concept to fill the gap between international and Hong Kong cuisines, Bao Bei aims to serve a blend of Asian and Western small dishes that are perfect over happy hour, dinner and late night feast.

From the word “Bao”, which straightly stands for Chinese steamed bun, it is from there created as a selection of gourmet baos packed with high-end fillings likes Wagyu beef, Kobe pork belly, cod fillet and the Bao Trio.

The shrimp cigar is basically spring roll filled with shrimp paste that comes with Thai chili sauce and shrimp roe powder, whereas we loved the crispy chicken lollipop with a Sichuan brown sauce and the poutine made with french fries, melted cheese and mapo tofu minced pork.

The mushrrom risotto is cooked al dente, seasoned with wonderful truffle sauce.

We rounded off the menu with some childhood favourite desserts, such as an extremely interesting Asian style deep fried milk pudding with passionfruit sauce in a mini pipette.

Do not leave Bao Bei until you try their signature cocktails. With over 12 variations, some interesting creations are the Childhood Memory that is served like Vita-Soy from convenient store, Yakult shot, Typhoon No. 10 with osmanthus jelly and mango pomelo sago.
