Tartes & Pop – Gourmet Tart-to-go

At the heart of Sheung Wan, here is Tartes & Pop started by two French friends. The reciprocal of a business guy and a former pastry chef from Valrhona has brought a delectable success among the neighborhood of coffee shops and street food, displaying a bunch of fine gourmet pastries that come with delicious flavors.

Since my order is made through Deliveroo, I did not visit their cafe personally, but it is often told to fill with pop music and arts. Ideally, I can already tell that certain pop culture and fun approach just from the cute little mini packaging.

Their tartes mostly have Breton bases to top with daily flavors. Chocolate raspberry and sesame matcha are equally delicious, rich and well-balanced in flavor.

Of all the tarts, the lemon gianduja and orange earl grey are my favourites. The former has a spread of hazelnut chocolate and an extremely wonderfully tangy lemon curd, very refreshing whereas the latter is more of a complexity topped with earl grey cream, choux pastry puff, and orange marmalade.

This very first French tart speciality store is very soon to be a hitting tart-to-go shop in Hong Kong.
