Taste of Hong Kong – Greatest Restaurant Festival

The world’s greatest restaurant festival, the Taste Festival has finally arrived Asia.
First taking place at our motherland Hong Kong, it features a list of city’s top restaurants, wine tasting and chef cooking workshop. The line up of leading restaurants includes Aberdeen Street Social, Amber, Bibo, Chino, Duddell’s and Tosca etc., who serve up an array of signature and iconic dishes prepared by the greatest chefs.

Arriving on the third day, it is a very cold night time session. We have our crown card ready and line up for a few must-have dishes.

First is a sea urchin dish prepared by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2016, Amber, made with lobster jello and caviar which is extremely rich, creamy and heaven.
The signature chocolate sphere dessert is also impressively made with thick semi-sweet chocolate, crunchy salted caramel macadamia nuts and a truly delightful cocoa sorbet.

The marsala glazed veal cheek from Cafe Grey Deluxe and pan fried wagyu beef are equally flavorful, amazingly juicy, tender and succulent. I particularly love the wasabi soy sauce that urges a real spicy kick.

As the name says it all, Duck & Waffle has participated with their favourite Belgian waffle, topped with confit duck leg, an eye-catching duck sunny side up and mustard infused maple syrup. We like it a lot.

Finally, barbecue Iberico pork from Tin Lung Heen is the perfect dish to round off our Hong Kong Taste Festival.
