When you Google about the top to-do-list in Hong Kong, I’m sure there will be one telling you to visit the Wildfire at the Peak. It might seem too far to get there, so fortunately the Wildfire group has another branch opened at Fashion Walk food street.
Best known for their wood oven pizza and wide selection of grilled meats, it is now introducing a wine pairing menu in the month of March. It includes three different kinds of wine that are around 13.5-14.5% alcohol content, house made by a wine producer at own farm, with good soil, nice weather and a unique wine making technique.
(Introduced by a Hong Kong wine maker – Anthony Lam)
The first is Domain Road Pinot Noir from Central Otago, New Zealand; with aromas of red & blackberry, hints of spice & dried herb, medium body on the palate. It is my favourite.
The second is Clyde Park Pinot Noir from Geelong Victoria, Australia; exceptionally dark purple-red, smells amazing and doesn’t seem like 9 years old at all.
The last one is Torlesse Waipars Pinot Noir from Waipara, New Zealand; sweet berry fruit & plums with a spicy savoury character, elegance to the palate.
Throughout the menu, there are Italian classic offered by Wildfire such as stuffed pizza and grilled short ribs, which is also finished off with a perfect piece of moist banana cake topped with vanilla ice cream and honeycomb chips.
