Espuma – In Love With Taro Waffle!

Speaking of Espuma, it is no longer new to me because I have been there at their Wan Chai branch a month ago. Their waffles are pretty impressive so I decided to explore their Central cafe where is conveniently located at Wellington Street, in a commercial building near Double D Burger.

The place is nice-looking yet a bit noisy at dinner hour, most tables are filled or reserved in advance.

We start with an Espuma Salad (not pictured), which is the only salad option on the menu. Combined with sesame-crusted tuna, smoked salmon, salad leaves and a few quarters of hard boiled egg.

The pizza has a nice and crispy thin crust topped with arugula, halved cherry tomatoes and Iberico ham, it is a decent choice with the perfect ratio of cheese and tomato sauce.

The pork knuckle comes in generous portion, and I was pleasantly surprised with the crispy skin that covers tons of collagen.

Whilst the Angus ribeye is still tender and well seared to medium rare as covered in my last post, the melted butter also adds a delicious richness to the meat.

We love the new taro waffles. For a full portion, we have the options to choose two scoops of ice cream, hazelnut and vanilla. The warm waffle is crispy and properly filled with pieces of taro, it is so enjoyable!
