White Button Cafe – Simple Taste of Sakura

White Button Cafe is an upstair bistro and dessert bar located at a busy alley of Tsim Sha Tsui. They have recently come up with a sakura set for the Spring season, which as well to celebrate White Valentines Day. I have never had a true taste of sakura so I am curious to find it out today.

The cafe is really spacious and comfy like a homey living room. The food menu includes Italian pasta dishes, Japanese inspired desserts and fancy drinks such as mocktails and smoothies.

The sakura set first starts with a very salty sakura hot tea. While the sakura udon tastes ordinary like soba noodle, the miso soup is generously sprinkled with a nice handful of sakura shrimp. The set also finishes with a daifuku that we like for its chewy mochi skin, with an adzuki bean filling.

Desserts to follow. The bruleed lemon tart is less impressive because of its too eggy and firm lemon curd filling, whereas the tiramisu is pleasantly rich and creamy.

Of course, I had to try one of their signature drinks, Seoul Tower. It is quite disappointing as I hope for far more soda and citrusy.
