Sen-ryo 千両 – Nagasaki Seafood Festival

Sen-ryo has been one of the most popular sushi restaurants in Hong Kong, under Genki Sushi.
For this season, it has prepared fresh horse mackerels and striped jacks from Nagasaki to pair with some specially selected sakes and summer drinks such as ume jelly soda and yuzu shochu.

While horse mackerel is popularly known for its delicate texture, refreshing and sweet, the thin translucent cuts are enriched by the tangy yuzu jelly, spring onion and crispy garlic pieces.

Striped jacks, the most superior type of Mackerel which also called the “King of White Fish”, is prepared as a Western salad dressed with the unbeatable combination of fresh basil and tomato sauce.

We also have sushi made with two different part of striped jack, one is the regular fillet and another is the premium belly part of the fish.

The sashimi platter is definitely enough to be shared among us, which includes tantalizingly delicious red snapper, striped jack, scallop and a whole tail of horse mackerel sashimi.

Some more seasonal dishes are grilled chicken sausage, the creamy cheese bites and my favourite grilled mero joint with an excellently deletable miso sauce.
