Hongdae – Food List Around Hongik University

Around the Hongik University area, also known as Hongdae, is widely known shopping and food hunting area for many teenagers. Here are a couple that I have been to in this March-trip to Seoul.

The first “sheep cafe” in Korea, is the one-and-only special coffee shop where you can see real sheep hanging around you. The menu serves a list of familiar cafe food, and the sweet potato latte is the one we adore.

Next to this lovely Thanks Nature Cafe, we found a long queue in front of a food stand who sells six types of hotdog stick. Similar to North American corn dog, these hotdogs are wrapped in a bread-like dough coated with granulated sugar, flavors vary from cheese, rice cake and squid ink.

Walking across the Hongik University food street, also the tourist main street for shopping, I can’t resist getting in to my favourite cafe in Seoul. First things first, O’sulloc the green tea master!
Since it is the strawberry season, they are now having strawberry menu and a new green tea torte cake.

Furthermore, just a few blocks away, you will see this honey chips cafe. Similar to Calbee in Hong Kong, they do freshly made potato chips, mostly drizzled with honey as well as soft serve ice cream made with organic milk. The honey butter chip is so addictive indeed!
