The excitement was palpable when GROM first arrived Hong Kong at IFC. It is an Italian gelateria having a widespread reputation, usually of its natural and clean image.
Everyday the gelato bar serves an extensive list of over 20 flavors including the signature crema di Grom, a pastry-cream gelato with dark chocolate chips and corn biscuits; and Gianduja, a hazelnut gelato made with Peruvian chocolate.
Despite there are some healthy and tempting choices of fruit sorbets and granita siciliana, we couldn’t resist to sample a coconut and pistachio gelato. It comes in a small cup, both are very smooth and creamy, whilst the taste is definitely refined.
In addition, GROM has lately figured out a lactose and fat free treats – ghiaccioli, which is basically a 100% natural fruit popsicles made with mineral water. There are lemon, mango, strawberry and raspberry, and we tried the strawberry which is super fruity and fresh. We love it a lot!
