Flint Grill & Bar – Glamorous Weekend Brunch

Flint Grill & Bar is an exceptionally beautiful restaurant belongs to JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. Located on level 5, it is a rustic, modern and chic industrial setting with a bar and lounge, chef’s tables, open kitchen and dining area. This summer, they have launched a new weekend brunch offering not only brunch staples, but also fresh seafood, as well as unlimited free-flow champagne and premium sakes!

The seafood bar contains plenty of sashimi and sushi choices, including tuna, amaebi and tamago sushi; soba noodle and a very nice lobster miso. There are poached lobster, king crab legs, brown crab that has been loaded with crab roe, and the most essential fresh oysters sourced from France.

Passing the sommelier’s table would be chef’s kitchen corner serving antipasti, salad, roast of the day and some brunch dishes including schragels and schmears. The egg station offers Flint’s 64 °C Egg Benedict, which is paired with different ingredients such as smoked salmon, wild mushroom & caramelized onion, my favourite is definitely the juicy char siu pork with the perfect glazing over the buttered and toasted English muffin.

From the open kitchen, there are a list of main courses made-to-order. Glazed toothfish with yuzu miso sauce, chicken yakitori, vegetable tempura and foie gras; some favourites are Iberico pork with a maple mustard glaze and fillet tenderloin with wild mushroom and black pepper teriyaki sauce.

The dessert table is also plentiful including a rich and dense New York cheesecake, pecan tart and Halloween chocolate mousse cake; some homemade cookies and chocolate praline are beautifully displayed. Chestnut mont blanc and hazelnut apricot mousse are made delicate whilst a sesame black forest parfait with a pronounced sesame mousse and berry compotes is particularly impressive.
